Just a Little update on RM308.

During the last couple of Months, RM308 has had some work done to her, although what work that has been done, is virtually hard to see.
The Window rubbers have been replaced on all Windows except the Drivers cab front Window. A slight accident took place when one of the front Windows actually broke whilst being taken out, this meant a new one had to be ordered along with one that had etching on it. All window pans have been greased up and all the winders have been given the once over. Only one of the winders is not working, we have yet to find the reason why.

Over the Easter weekend RM308 proved to be one of the Highlights at the GWILI Railway 'Thomas' Event.

More work will progress during the year. I have enclosed a few pictures of her taken in March.
07/11/2007Canadian Affair
Summer 2007 took me and Mrs S to the delightful country that is Canada. Of course for me this would be a double whammy as i would see some of the Routemasters that now earn there keep in this lovely continent. We stayed for the majority of this holiday in downtown Toronto where the weather was far warmer then in good old blighty. We also had a 4 day jaunt to New York and a 3 day visit to Montreal along with a stay overnight at Niagara Falls. i didnt get as many of the Routemaster as i anted as the main depot for the Routemasters in Niagara is some distance away. I was happy with what i got. Some of the buses on here i am not sure where they came from but i am sure someone can let me know.

30/08/2007North Weald Volume 3
Just a selection of variant Routemasters. these were chosen by me to have significant interest of the vehicles respective history.
Most of these vehicles saw further service outside London and some even came back for further service before being finally retired.

01/07/2007Holloway and Kings Cross Routemasters at North Weald 2007
Well by far the most represented Routemasters that were on display at North Weald had links with North Londons Holloway (HT) and latterly Kings Cross (KX) Garages. Here i have dedicated a section just for Holloway RMs. Holloway has been my local garage for approx 32 of my 43 years.

09/12/2006North Woolwich Line
Well it seems that wherever i go i am a purveror of bad luck. The Routemasters have all but gone, Arsenal upped sticks and moved 500 yards now another last. Today was my very last trip on the North Woolwich line. This line is the oldest line in London and dates back to 1840. Saturday the 9th sees the last day of Operation. As today was my last trip i decided to get a couple of pictures as is usual when i do a last trip the weather decided to through a spanner in the works.

I would like to thank the kind enthsiasts who took the pictures with me in the shots.
13/11/2006ACE Cafe meet 11 November 2006
On Saturday 11 November 2006. Routemaster owners and their buses met at the ACE cafe in North West London for a spot of lunch and a chance for owners to get together and discuss all things Routemaster. In total six vehicles turned up and numerous owners who didnt bring their own buses wer also their.
After a good meal and plenty chating with some bikers a convey of Three Routemasters (RM1224, RM2037 and RML2755) done a road run over what was the old Route 12 From Park Royal trading Estate to Norwood Junction. At Norwood the different owners went their own way and as i was on RML2755 we went to Crystal Palace and then followed the Route 3 until i got off at Trafalgar Square.

I would like to thank Liam Doyle and Tim Barrington for a good day out and specail thanks for Liam for letting me tag along on his RML.
